Tensions are always high at the border betweenLebanon and Israel. It's often the center of military conflict between Hezbollah and the Israeli Defense Forces.

Al-Khiam Detention Camp, South Lebanon
The remnants of the Al-Khiam detention camp provided some stark reminders of the cruelty of war. It has since been destroyed by aerial bombardment during the 2006 fighting.
